May 16 from 2018 - 09: 51

El Real Club Nautico Denia will host, this Saturday, the "2ª Test of the Autonomous League of Sea Kayak" and "VI League of Young Promises". After the dispute a few weeks ago in the waters of Xàbia it's time for Dénia.

Since the organization of the race it has been reported that until Thursday, the registered paddlers were 136. Which means that the city will receive a good number of visitors something that the president of the club highlighted, Jaime Portolés who commented, "I think there will be approximately 500 people arriving from many points of the Valencian Community who will visit the city, being the tourist promotion through the sport very important".

During the presentation of this sporting event, Juan Carlos Pérez, vocal of the Real Club Náutico Dénia and at the same time a paddler, pointed out that, "in this test, knowing the racing field is fundamental. Knowing where the buoys are is fundamental and knowing the currents and the wind that can blow at the time of the races gives us a small advantage to the local paddlers".

The Club's Sports Director, Toni Vidal, stressed that, "The goal as a team is to get on the podium. In Xàbia we were third but we must bear in mind that one of the most powerful formations, Club de Villajoyosa, was not in Xàbia and we have confirmation of their presence in this event. We will have to fight to get on the podium and that is the marked objective".

The mayor of Sports, Vicent Crespo added that, “we are always next to your club, since you know how to sell the city through sports and your disclosure of the sea to everyone is very important".
