The Port of Dénia prepared for Phase 1

The Advisory Port Table of the Port of Dénia has produced a video, in which all port concessionaires participate, to show the security measures that have been put in place for the next phase of the de-escalation, next Monday, May 11.

In this sense, José Manuel Orengo, director of Baleària, ensures that the boats are perfectly clean and disinfected, "to be able to take everyone who so wishes to the paradise of Formentera or Ibiza, with maximum security". Baleària is working to be the first shipping company in the world to obtain the Global Safe Site Covid-19 label in its maximum degree (Excellence) by the international certification and inspection entity Bureau Veritas, which will certify that its ships and the maritime stations that manages to carry out specific procedures, cleaning plans, organizational and personal protective measures to prevent Covid-19. The shipping company will also periodically measure the possible presence of the virus on the surface in order to obtain the excellent category of the certificate.

For his part, Juan Antonio Sepulcre, president of the Dénia Fishermen's Association, tells in this report that, after 58 days without work, "on Monday the 11th we will start working." The Brotherhood has disinfected and cleaned the boats and the fish market so that everything is in perfect condition for next week.

For its part, both Marina de Denia as Marina El Portet have implemented the protocol signed between the Spanish Federation of Associations of Sports and Tourist Ports (FEAPDT) and the Spanish Maritime Cluster. These protocols have been defined based on the recommendations established by the Ministry of Health and other authorities such as State Ports, the Ministry of Labor and other competent health authorities.
