The National Deputy of PSPV-PSOE Herick Campos announced this past weekend that the Socialist Party has included in its electoral program the non-renewal of motorway concessions, which means that, if Pedro Sanchez wins the PSOE, 2019 will not renew the concession of the AP7 and this will become free.
Campos explained, "This will imply the gratuitousness of the AP7, without being replaced by any canon or new concealed concession". Campos called "unfair" the extension approved by the Aznar government, which Rajoy also sat as minister, since in 2006 concession expired and already at that time the work was written off.
For his part, Toni Vaquer, candidate for the PSOE Congress, described this decision as a priority, "Well, it would make the region a free fast route, and avoid costs in tourism and agricultural and industrial exports".
These statements were made during the opening of the XXX Fira de Mostres and Compres d'Ondara, which was held this past weekend in the neighboring municipality.
