The project to recover wheat in the Marina Alta finds support in Valencia

La Sociocultural Association of the Riurau, with the collaboration of the City of Dénia, from the Office of Innovation and Creativity, the area of ​​Environment, Agriculture and Climate Change, and the EATIM of Jesus Pobre, launched, a few months ago, the Grup de Blat de la Marina, a project devised to recover the cultivation of wheat and the production of flour in the Marina Alta.

This proposal is expanding support and enriching itself with consolidated experiences from other places. A commission from Grup de Blat de la Marina, together with specialists from the agrifood sector of the Marina Alta, have made a series of visits to companies and entities of the city of Valencia and its surroundings with the aim of strengthening the project.
 
The first meeting was the Forn de San Bartolomé, where they exchanged information about the activity of a consolidated furnace that offers variety and quality in its products. The Project commission Blat of the Navy It was also received in the Guild and School of Bakers of Valencia. Both the furnace and the school, several possibilities for future collaboration, mainly focused on training.
 
Later the company was visited in Torrent Molí de Picó, international reference of the sector, where they made a guided tour very complete for the facilities. In the interviews held with the managers, the possibility of making a first direct and immediate collaboration was opened, which could be related to the analysis of wheat samples, and it was agreed to maintain periodic contacts for the future.
