Given the success of the basic pediatric resuscitation workshop, which was held in Marina Dénia on March 23, the San Carlos Hospital has already set a date for the next one. The workshop will be held on Wednesday April 6at 18 hours, at the Marina Dénia facilities and, like the previous one, it will be totally free and aimed at families or people who care for children. “The first workshop has gone very well and we have detected that there is demand, so we will continue to do more workshops. This is an essential training for our region since we live by the sea and with many swimming pools around us”, he pointed out. Gabriel Martínez, director of Marina Dénia.
The workshop will be given by Dr. Antonia Ivars, who is part of the San Carlos Hospital pediatrics team. The need for citizens to learn basic resuscitation maneuvers can improve the survival and prognosis of these children. Incidents can be dealt with without the need for any special material, just a few basic notions, since advanced resuscitation is carried out by the medical team.
