The Department of Environment and Climate Change has organized a new edition of the program Descobreix el paisatge, an offer for the months of July and August that aims to promote among neighbors and visitors the outings on foot through the natural environment of Dénia and neighboring towns of the region.
From the 18 of July to the 10 of August, Descobreix el paisatge offer 14 routes of low difficulty, to be carried out in the afternoon or at night, and will cover the greenway and the dune landscape, the rocky coast of Les Rotes, the path of the Alberca river, monumental trees, the Mediterranean forest landscape, Jesús Pobre and the Riurau Market, the Pego-Oliva marsh and the Torrecremada park and urban gardens, among others.
There will also be visits to the Jardí de l'Albarda, with a musical performance included; the agricultural roads of Gata, Jesús Pobre and la Xara, the Cova de l'Aigua and Raco del Bou, the mountain villages of Vall de Laguar and a nighttime stargazing.
Environmental huts
In addition, from the environmental information booths located in the Marineta Cassiana and the park of Les Bassetes free guided tours to disseminate the natural heritage.
From the boathouse of Marineta Cassiana, every Friday in July, August and September, at 19 hours, there will be an excursion through the Rotes to discover the flora micro-reserves, the marine reserve and the Torre del Geroo, with an approximate duration of 2 hours and a half.
In the environmental point of Bassetes, the outings for the public will take place on Tuesdays, also at 19 hours, and will tour the dune system, the port and the lookout of the lighthouse.
Visits with producers of the Navy
On the other hand, the program continues to develop during the summer Descobreix el paisatge hand in hand with the agri-food producers of the Marina Alta started last February and will last until January 2019.
El 14 July a visit to Benitatxell is scheduled and Xàbia, with the producers of Biomoscatell and of oil of Xàbia and the 25 of August, an exit to Benissa, visiting Uvas Cabrera and Joan de la Casa.
