The Department of Linguistic Normalization has decided to increase in 500 euros the global allocation of the prize to the promotion of the Valencian in the failures of Dénia of the 2018 / 2019 exercise "Given the importance of the failures in Dénia and the key role that has and must have the language within this party", pointed out the Councilor for Language Normalization, Rafa Carrió. The councilor says that the city wants to recognize, with these rewards "the task that failures do to strengthen and promote our language, as well as encourage more commissions to work for this purpose".
Now, in the edition in which the prize meets 18 years, Linguistic Normalization has raised the global amount of the prizes in 500 euros, so the first will be endowed with 700 euros, the second with 500 euros and the third will be 300 euros, as well as an accrediting pennant for each one of the awarded commissions.
Carrió recalled that this is the second time in the legislature that the prize increases. The first climb, the 2016, meant passing from a single prize of 500 euros to three prizes with a total of 1.000 euros, divided into 500 euros for the first, 300 euros for the second and 200 euros for the third.
Award bases
All the fallas commissions of the city can participate in the prize. Two aspects will be evaluated, which will be evaluated equally up to an 50% each. On the one hand, the use of Valencian in the whole activity fallera of the exercise, that each commission should reflect in a dossier that includes publications in the written press, public and / or institutional events of the failure, use in social networks, cards, invitations and any other allusive documentation. The maximum date to submit this documentation is the March 12 of 2019.
On the other hand, the texts of criticisms of both the large and the infantile flaws will be evaluated. These texts will be evaluated by the jury in situ, during the visit to the monuments and, therefore, it is not necessary to include them in the dossier.
The criteria that are rewarded are the orthographic, morphological and syntactic correction, the style of the text, the richness and quality of the lexicon used and the originality and creativity.
