The PP will collect signatures against the pedestrianization of Marqués de Campo

El Party de Dénia has announced the launch of a collection of signatures to reject the pedestrianization of the Calle Marques de Campo in the coming days.

councilors María Mut e Isabel Gallego they affirm that this collection is a reflection of a petition they collect from neighbors, so in the next few days they will be mobilized by both Marqués de Campo and the surrounding streets to collect signatures against the project of the government team to pedestrianize the main commercial artery of the city.

The intention of the popular ones is to present them at the next municipal plenary session, in a month, although they have not set a specific goal in terms of the satisfactory number of signatures collected.

María Mut has denounced that the survey conducted by the government team within the feasibility study of pedestrianization "not trustworthy" because, among other things, of the 400 respondents only 28 are residents of Marqués de Campo. It also stresses that at no time is it directly asked about the pedestrianization of the road.

Councilors have recalled that this study has cost 33.500 euros, a money that in his opinion could have saved the City since 2015 already conducted a survey by the Local Agenda 21, whose data could have been used.

Asked for their opinion about the street model that they defend, the popular ones have affirmed that before deciding they would sit down to press the opinion of neighbors and merchants.
