The PP takes stock of the first year of the legislature: "Twelve months, much to forget and little to remember"

09 July 2020 - 14: 57

El Party de Dénia has issued a statement in which it takes stock of this first year legislature. The Populares point out that, in these months, the government team has not worked.

"The time passes quickly, and leaves us already in the wake of twelve consumed months of legislature. Time in which what we remember most, unfortunately, are the storms of September and January and the damn COVID-19 that continues to plague us.

Even so, so many unresolved issues come to mind that, far from solving them, this dis-government team prioritizes other fronts, of direct impact on our coexistence, and to which not even a miserable consultation is made.

• What has happened to the unfortunate situation of the sports facilities in Madrigueres, denounced on several occasions by our group? NOTHING.
• What has happened to the famous new document for the Trash contract? NOTHING.
• What news do we have about the PGE, to which so much hype and cymbal has been given by our government team? NONE.
• How much time has to pass before we can once again enjoy the municipal pavilion? NO IDEA.
• How many months before Denia has implemented the Trade Aid Plan by COVID-19? UNKNOWN
• How effective has the Hospitality Aid Plan been for COVID-19? NONE
• Have the works in the city center been agreed, in the middle of the summer season, for the “reordering” of traffic? NOT EVEN.
• The Popular Party presented a motion for the reconditioning of the Trinquet "el Rovellet" facilities, entirely carried out by the Department of Education, Culture and Sport. Has it been processed? Have you seen any performance in said installation?

And so we could continue, breaking down topics to which they have been unable to find a solution, or what is worse, they have not wanted.

And before this bouquet of painful management and much veiled demagoguery, the Popular Party works firmly and clearly so that fundamental rights are not violated: that is why we denounce the linguistic requirement approved by the PSOE, totally contrary to law, which violates the constitutional doctrine on the co-officiality of the official languages and the parity and the balance that must exist between them, violates the principle of legality and regulatory hierarchy by exceeding the scope of the Law of Use and Teaching Valencian and is contrary to the Spanish Constitution and involves the violation of the principles of gradualness and voluntariness with all political groups, without exception, to establish bridges that unite, that promote policies that directly benefit people, leaving aside egos and past disputes.

We continue to defend our merchants with the sword and the sword, a vital economic fabric for the economic and social recovery of our city. The local commerce of the city has been suffering for too long serious problems, plagued by the economic crisis and by the new customs on consumption that citizens are applying. The protection of traditional businesses must be a priority to avoid the total loss of the closest trade as we understand it. And in the face of the extraordinary situation of COVID-19, merchants cannot wait, let alone seven months, for the government team to launch the Plan to boost Local Commerce. Many of our traders do not literally have these 7 months to secure their future, and even if they carry out an experiment, you know ... the best experiments with soda.

And if we talk about the situation of the hoteliers, the issue is further complicated. The Popular Party advocates directly for the exemption of the rates of occupation of public thoroughfare (subject raised to the government team and that this one flatly denied), and for the creation of a Regulation of direct Aids that no longer drown the situation of this economic engine on which so many families depend.

In short, many openwork issues that this government team does not even remotely demonstrate have wicker to give them a solution or at least relief.

We remembered back in the month of June of last year as Compromis, it did not take, not a single minute, to erase with a stroke of the pen the symphony of eternal love that the Pacte del Castell distilled, nor a trace of the “good roll” that until recently impacted us , not even 100 days of political courtesy ..., at gayola door, first plenary session and zasca !, first notice to his "ex-partners" of what he guessed how his opposition was going to develop, but everything remained in a timid posture, since thereafter, many of the common policies of both formations have been glimpsed (linguistic requirement, pedestrianization, etc ...).

And if we talk in terms of exams, now that our students are examining the EBAU, what do they want us to tell them, that there is everything, even those who think they know everything, and then they don't know very well why that they have not even reached the approved scratch-off. It would be advisable that they opted for the sciences or for the letters, but that they did not go mixing them….

The popular party is not going to establish any sanitary cord as the PSOE does, offering it no government competence, none. On the contrary, the Popular Party this legislature will continue to support the policies that it considers beneficial for Denia's neighbors, wherever they come from, even despite internal and external criticism, and will continue to contribute policies that improve the lives of our neighbors.

This remains our inalienable roadmap. "

I never thought that I would agree with anything the PP said. However, I agree with them in the use of language. We are Welsh. My wife taught Welsh at an elementary school. In Wales both Welsh and English are used. Any communication from the government or local mayor is in both Welsh and English.

Similarly here in Denia, both Valencian and Castilian should be taught and used.
