El Party de Dénia has made numbers and the accounts do not come out with the projects of the Confidence Plan. After several weeks of investigative work, they have obtained the figures for which all the works were put out to tender and the final price for which they were awarded, and they have calculated a difference of 1.424.996 euros that the city will not receive.
These figures show that the projects of the Productive Investment Plan (formerly Trust Plan) were put out to tender for a total of 7.364.348'11 euros and were awarded for 5.939.351'63 euros, which leaves the difference of almost one and a half million euros that will not be invested in the city.
The spokesperson of the group, María Mut, has demanded responsibilities to the City Council, and know if they are going to claim that difference of money to the Conselleria.
The City Council can only access the difference of the projects that it has tendered
The Councilor for Territory of the Dénia City Council, Maria Josep Ripoll, has explained that the City Council cannot claim that money, since it has been the Ministry that has tendered all the PIP projects, except for the roundabout on Diana street with Joan Fuster.
The councilor recalled that, when the projects of the plan were processed, between 2013 and 2014, the PP government could have negotiated with the Ministry to take charge of the bidding of the projects, but it was not. If the City Council had been in charge of that tender, we would have access to all cancellations, and Dénia would not have lost that million and a half difference between the tender and the award of the projects.
The rehabilitation project of the old school of La Xara will be put out to tender this month
The councilors of the PP have also been asked about another project of the Productive Investment Plan, which will allow the former school of La Xara to become a cultural center. 280.000 euros have been earmarked for this project, but the mayor Pepa Sivera has reported that they have no news of this work.
The Councilor for Territory explained that this project is being managed directly by the EATIM of La Xara. Its mayor, Mayte Pérez Conejero, explained that the project is already drafted and that this week they have confirmed from the Ministry that, in a period of approximately 15 days will be published the specifications.
The project contemplates reforming the old school that now houses the Health Center and the rehearsals of the Musical Association, in a cultural space. Despite not confirming deadlines, the mayor is confident that in the month of September they can start the works, which will have an estimated duration of between 4 and 5 months.
