The PP of Dénia presents its great electoral project, the new bus station

27 March 2023 - 16: 23

El Party de Dénia has presented today the great project that has been planned for the new bus station in the Dianense city. It is an intermodal bus station that aims to “centralize all means of transport, be it train, buses or the boat “la Panseta”. That is to say, that once in Dénia you can move without problems to the other access points. The project will be located between Patricio Ferrándiz and Manuel Lattur streets, at a point very close to the urban center and where the old La Rosaleda cinema was located.

The new bus terminal will put an end to the problem of the provisional bus station promoted by the socialist government almost 5 years ago. Goodbye to the summer oven, to the winter rains, to the passengers on the road and to the closed toilets, among a host of inconveniences that have been generated since the opening of this bus station on May 7, 2018.

Currently, the bus station has 1.580 m2 and a space that accommodates only 8 buses. With the new station proposed by the Popular Party of Dénia these figures will be considerably increased.

“We will go from 1.580 m2 to 2.340 m2, thus expanding the bus entry capacity to 12 vehicles. It will not be a station to use, since the building will have four floors and an attic that will provide Dénia with a new public parking, with about 350 parking spaces for cars”. This terminal will also have public toilets and offices for ticket sales. In addition, advanced technologies will be used with mobile applications that provide information on services in real time and free Wi-Fi connection.

In this way, a solution will be given to two great milestones in the Dianense city; a bus station in good condition and more public parking spaces.

Likewise, the PP of Dénia will pay homage to the La Rosaleda summer cinema and will give the name "La Rosaleda Station" to this new infrastructure.

Pepa Font The presentation of the bus station that Dénia deserves has concluded, insisting that "my great goal will be to improve the quality of life of all citizens, making Dénia a more modern, sustainable and connected city where it is easier to move to live , work and enjoy”.

But with or without toilets? That's what's important.

  2. Maria says:

There is already a project in the general plan of Denia, where there are 3 locations, and its valuation in travel times. The most successful with intermodalitiesd with the tram.

  3. Omniway says:

The thing about the bus station there, I don't see it. I think it's a better idea to do it where it's easier to access and it's close to Balearia, since most passengers go there. In Miguel Hernández I think it would be more accurate.
But what they could do there is the parking lot with several floors and a roof terrace. Although I seem to remember that this plot had to be used as a green area because that was the condition for its transfer. I don't know if this has changed.

  4. Pillar says:

Of course, as long as all the political parties continue making these proposals and promises….Lord, we citizens are neither sheep nor stupid, that happened in other times
!! Make them look at it!!

  5. Pepa says:

What guarantee does the PP give us so that we believe in this project?
Gentlemen, do you consider us so naive? there is not enough space to build such a station.
It is incredible how easily the parties have in the famous "I want to promise and I promise" by Adolfo Suárez, in their electoral campaigns. I think I will vote for whoever promises to lower the moon, it will be very metaphorical for the rest of the parties

    • Luis says:

They think us naive and idiots, that's why they have the positions they have because we voted for them. We showed it to them in the elections.

  6. Alf says:

    Well,
Let's see, forgetting party colors, ideologies and other troubles. Let's think about the best for the citizens of Denia and those who visit the city. Regardless of who the proposal is. Denia needs a bus station, the current one is more of a stop. He frequently used the Alsa lines, and it is rare, that in a city that intends to open up through its cultural offer, history and gastronomy...among others, it has train communication, as everyone knows, and a bus stop, since it does not offer the services of a station as such (some outdoor benches and little else, it is what there is).

From my point of view, there are lands where the project could be undertaken and which would in turn serve as a taxi rank, a stop for internal bus lines, a link with the train station and, of course, the services typical of a station of the century. XXI
If what is intended is a simulation, better nothing. Denia deserves that we all join in and urgently provide solutions to mobility. Although some do not feel affected, every day a good number of Dienenses use or would use public transport to travel to their jobs, visit, go to schools and universities...etc.
But the offer has to be attractive and the services have to be where they are needed. Regardless of the party that proposes it, the important thing is the people, the ideologies are after.
We will follow with interest how this issue develops. Denia has to reflect if she wants to be open and therefore wants to open up, which I think so, or if, on the contrary, everything relies on cars filling summer nights and with that there is already conformism.
    regards

    • Dani says:

And to all this, what do you propose for the Station?
Denia needs something more than a Terminal. It needs more infrastructure such as a Shopping Center (so that there is at least one Cinema), an Auditorium Theater and the second Health Center. But the politicians don't give a damn.
What we need is a better mayor.

    • Pepa says:

      Alf, totally, but totally agree.

  7. Dani says:

Pepa font hallucinates. Buses do not fit in that parking lot. It is the parking lot where they used to throw the colored mascletá, in front of the train. They don't fit there.
I would build the station in the Torrequemada parking lot, where they put on the fair.
And the fair would transfer it to Joan Fuster.
Buses and a building can fit there.
But first she would go look at him, not like her who does it based on her ideas.
And that is the alternative to the PSOE.
    Noticeable.

    • Marian says:

      Hello Dani.
Regarding your comment, the truth is that I disagree about the location of the bus station. Users generally go to Balearia during the summer and warmer months, therefore the location proposed by the Denia PP seems more accurate than that of Torrecremada.
Generally, public transport, to facilitate mobility, must be well located, and what better than to have it in a small triangle of about 200 meters (Balearia through the panseta, trenet and bus station, also providing public parking service).
I understand that the project and the square meters are studied and designed in accordance with the same buses that now enter the temporary station (it has been going on for more than 5 years, without bathrooms, where one cannot take shelter...etc and where many buses do not they fit and park outside on the street as you may have seen daily, affecting the traffic of vehicles in the city.
The Joan Fuster roundabout is a good way to enter the possible future station with 2 entry lanes and 2 exit lanes (which is not the case along the road between Denia and the AP-7 motorway).
Dani, I would be interested and I would appreciate it if you would tell me what other possibilities there are from the current local government as well as from the parties that are running for election. What studied and realistic solution does each have?
      Thanks in advance

      • Dani says:

        Hi Marian.
        I appreciate your comment.
The truth is that few projects. The PSOE the Station in La Pedrera, Gent de Denia to improve the existing one.
Few solutions for something so important.
If you cannot put it in Torrequemada, then put it in Miguel Hernández against Mercadona.
It is close to the port and easily connected to the entrance of the city.
From the Democratic Left we think so.
        Thanks for your answer

    • Pepa says:

Hahaha, your reflection and suggestions are very good, Dani.
Seriously, is that the place where they tell us that there will be a decent bus station? Unless they throw down the Costablanca hotel…what a fanaticism for everyone to rise to power!!!

    • Raul says:

I totally agree, there can't even be five buses there, apart from that, it's already hard to leave the parking lot with a car to go out with a bus, and the queues that form when you turn from Joan Fuster to Mercadona to take Plaza París, that's unthinkable the bus stop has to be at the entrance to Denia, there are also a lot of plots like the one next to the Levante bar, right in front of the school, but hey, they are only projects that are invented for the campaigns
