The Popular of Dénia criticize the rise in IBI and the "inability of the Dianense executive to resolve issues as simple as disinsection", as stated by the spokesperson of the PP, María Mut.
Last February the Popular Party was the only group that voted against the budgets of the Dénia City Council for this year 2021. "because a rise in IBI and capital gains was collected that reached a whopping 1 million euros." The popular ones pointed out in the plenary session that "that money will come out of the pockets of the residents of Dénia, in a year where we have not yet recovered from the effects of the pandemic."
María Mut has indicated that "there are neighbors who have seen their receipt increase by more than 100 euros compared to last year".
On the other hand, the popular ones add that "other issues such as disinsection (cockroaches in abundance), pruning of palm trees, spraying of trees, painting of pedestrian crossings, fights in the streets ... have not been resolved either."
"Dénia is much worse than it was a few years ago and that despite the fact that we have several chained increases of the IBI, either because they approve it in plenary session with their absolute majority, or because they request a cadastral review. We pay more, we receive less. They don't know how to manage the city, ”criticizes the popular Eva Catalá.
The Popular Party recalls, in a statement, that at the beginning of the year they presented "a reactivation plan for the city, based on the reduction or reduction of various taxes: IBI, IVTM, ICIO because there are budget items that we know this year will not be they will be able to spend, and the executive of the PSOE, to all these proposals he answered with a resounding NO ".
The popular spokeswoman, María Mut, has stated that "a good management would have consisted of alleviating tax burdens on citizens and improving, or at least maintaining, public services. On the other hand, what we have with the PSOE of Dénia in its majority absolutist are more taxes and worse services. "
