07 March 2016 - 14: 35

Just two weeks before the arrival of Holy Week and with an eye already set on the high season of tourism in Dénia, the Party of the town has denounced a significant delay in contracting the security surveillance service beaches, whose current contract with the Red Cross ends on March 31.

For party spokesman Ana Kringe, "It is worrisome that today, the opposition groups do not know anything about the specifications to contract this service. But more worrisome is that the season begins next June 15 and this month's 31, Dénia will run out of surveillance contract ".

María Mut, Meanwhile, considers "unheard" what is happening and wondered if "Do you want to make us believe that in two months and a little more, they will carry out the contracting with all the legal steps that must be taken for this purpose? And if any company challenges the process? And if they write by contracting badly the sheets how it has already happened to write the project of the school of La Xara? What will happen to the beaches this summer? ".

It is recalled that the bid was made by the previous government team for a period of 4 years plus one extension by the amount of 477.255 euros per year, where Red Cross has contributed during this time more than 100 people for monitoring and 23 watchtowers, among other resources.
