The PATIVEL distinguishes two types of beaches in Dénia and conditions the cleaning tasks

22 June 2018 - 12: 09

The entry into force of PATIVEL, the Territorial Action Plan for the Green Coastal Infrastructure, has reached Dénia with a catalog of beaches depending on its uses and physiognomies. And that cataloging also brings with it a modification in the cleaning work carried out there and the use of the machinery.

The PATIVEL distinguishes in Dénia two types of beaches, urban and natural, which in turn have different levels of protection. The urban beaches of Dénia are the Almadrava and the Marineta Cassiana. As well urban, but more restricted are the beach of The Bovetes and Marines, from the Alter to Les Bassetes.

All the natural beaches in Dénia they are Deveses, Els Molins, Les Bassetes up to the first watering can and the Punta del Raset, while the natural beaches of special protection are that of the mouth of the River Racons and the mouth of La Alberca and the beach of Les Rotes.

Depending on these typologies, the PATIVEL brand uses some uses that especially condition the cleaning work with machinery on the beaches. That is why the Department of Environment of Dénia has installed information poles for cleaning companies that indicate in which areas you can perform the work with the machinery and which should be done naturally.

In the natural beaches, the zone of manual works is established ten meters from the formation of the dunes. In this way the dune movement is allowed and the breeding of the Black-footed Chorlitejo is guaranteed, a species of birds that abound in this season in our beaches that lay their eggs at the foot of the dune.

The signage will also serve to inform visitors and swimmers about the prohibition of access to the dunes and the accesses enabled to the beaches by way of footbridges.
