The basketball team of Paidos Infantil feminine proclaimed provincial champion of the Sports Games of the Valencian Community, after beating the IES La Melva de Elda by an adjusted 41-43.
The return match was played at the Elda Wood Pavilion. The girls of the dianense team traveled with an advantage of 15 points obtained in its own track.
The start of IES La Melva was different to that they had in Denia, very strong in attack and a zone defense throughout the match to stop the attack of the reds.
This type of defense caused some difficulties to the Dianense team, that despite setting the pace of the game, they did not get comfortable facing the basket. The lack of success in the shot coupled with the lack of offensive rebound caused the first four times were very even.
In the second half the girls of Paidos came out much more concentrated and increased their intensity in defense, which together with a greater control of the rebound in both baskets, gave them more security of face the ring. The good defensive work caused quick counterattacks that ended in easy baskets. In front of this of little it served his zonal defense to the locals.
