The assembly alevín Paidos Dénia is one of the finalists of the Federation Cup, by winning the semi-finals at Pinoso Athletic FS. In the first leg played in the pavilion of Pinoso the victory was for the local team by 5 to 4, while in the return the victory was for the dianenses by 3 to 2. Despite the draw, the fact of having achieved a greater number of goals as visitors allowed the pass to the final is for the Dianense team.
Already in the first leg played in Pinoso, the dianenses proved that their opponent was a very powerful team. At the minimum dismissal they launched in very dangerous attacks on the Dianense goal. This caused that the equipment of Pinoso took a clear advantage in the marker 4 to 0. Thankfully, the team reacted very well in the second half and with the goals of Saúl Delgado (2) and Pablo managed to cut the score and get alive to the return match.
The return game played in Dénia started with the logical nerves, in a well-placed Paidos on the playing court but without getting deeper into the opposite frame. Both teams fought to not fit any goal, but it was the 9 minute when the first goal of the reds arrived, achieved by Saúl Delgado. A goal that shook the audience that was sitting in the stands of the pavilion.
They were moments of euphoria and above all of emotion, with a rival who did not throw in the towel and who looked for a way to surprise the local goal, Cayetano. With some arrivals of certain danger on both frames but that did not finish in goal, the intermediate was reached. The excitement was felt in the environment with a local crowd that continued to cheer, although it was known that you had to suffer to keep going in the competition.
In the resumption, the referee indicated maximum penalty in the visiting area, that Saúl Delgado himself converted 2 into 0. The tie turned heads for the dianenses, but Pinoso had not yet said the last word.
Two minutes later, Álex Albert managed to close the gap on the scoreboard and this caused some nerves again. The thing was still much more complicated when in the 44 minute came the equalizer by José Luis Pérez.
When it seemed that everything was going to hell and in the absence of 10 seconds to the end, came the both that supposed the triumph and pass to the final for Paidos Dénia, a far shot of Adrià surprised the visiting goal. The final delirium was total. The kids did not stop jumping for joy and hugging and three quarters of the same was lived in the stands of the municipal pavilion.
Now the team is already working to prepare the grand final they will play against the powerful team of the New Elda FS, current league champion.
