Montgó, Les Rotes and Castle star in the spectacular pageantry of Christian captaincy

Merchants, sharpeners, country people and a fun group of geese made up the first part of the Christian pageantry.

The Mediterranean Sea, which for years has provided wealth to the city of Dénia and which was chosen as a path by the Moorish and Christian armies to reach this land, made up the second part of the pageantry, in which the ballets gave way to the standard bearer Christian, Ana Adela Pastor, who walked the streets of Dénia on a float that simulated the cliffs of Les Rotes pulled by two oxen.

The third part of the pageantry was carried out by the Montgo, its flora and fauna. The Montgó guardians gave way to a falconry show, with falcons loose on the Calle Marques de Campo. The center of this second part was the chariot which marched the Knights captain and Christian Ambassador, Thomas Chiner.

Finally the castle of Dénia, its walls and battlements, was the stage on which the Christian captain, José Vicente Ivars, paraded through the center of Dénia preceded by the group of lancers and his personal guard.
