Taking advantage of his visit to Madrid, where FITUR is celebrated these days, the Mayoress of Dénia, Ana KringeAnd the Councilor for Citizen Security, Javier Ygarza, met with the Secretary of State for Security, Ignacio Ulloa, and the Secretary General of the Infrastructure and Equipment of the State Security (GIESE), Rafael Ferrera with the theme of the construction of the new police station on the table.
During the meeting, Kringe has reported the new facilities in which are members of the Local Police, built in 2010 with funds from Plan E that meet the needs of the Local Police, so the mayor has proposed to allocate the site to the Local and National Police only to the National Police.
The land, located on Nou d'Octubre street, next to the Palace of Justice, has an area of 870,86 square meters and was transferred free of charge by the City Council to the State Security Infrastructure and Equipment Management in June 2009 .
After the meeting, the mayor commented that, regardless of the economic availability to do it, has observed a good predisposition on the part of the representatives of the Ministry, who have transferred to Kringe their intention to re-study the project in the coming months.
