The Mercat Municipal today hosts the First International Competition of the Red Gamba de Dénia

At last came the long awaited day. Today, from the 9 morning hosts the Municipal Mercat I International Competition of Creative Cuisine Red Gamba de Dénia, In which eight chefs from around the country offer their original recipes to win one of three prizes.

- Germán Espinosa Urquiza, from the Vermell restaurant in Sant Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona)
- José Miguel Moreno Ruiz, from the Tierra restaurant of the Valdepalacios Hotel in Torrico (Toledo)
- Antonio Rubio Moreno, from the Mesón Campero de Linares (Jaén)
- Íñigo Almenara López, of Monkey Group, on the beach of the Americas, Santa Cruz de Tenerife
- José Manuel López Iglesias, from the Peix i Brases restaurant in Dénia
- Chema Soler Pastro, of the Chema Gastrocroquetería de Madrid
- Iván Méndez, from the Mondariz spa, in Pontevedra
- Iván and Toni López, from Alzira.

In the 12: 30 start emplatar numerical order of tables and time 5 minutes each. The jury will have one hour to deliberate and will be chaired by the cook Quique Dacosta and also composed of Cuchita Lluch, president of the Academy of Valencian cuisine; Javier Antoja, journalist and director of the gastronomic magazine Apicius; José Carlos Capel, food critic and director of Madrid Fusion and Julia Pérez Lozano, gastronomic journalist.

The three winners will receive a sculpture by Toni Marí sculptor representing the protagonist of this event: the red shrimp from Denia.
