17 September 2019 - 14: 54

After publishing the books Triamor, Gael's boyfriends y A good day to die, the illustrator Sanz i Vila returns to Hidroavión Editions, changing records, to show us a catalog full of real stories of dogs, cats and other animal species that have marked the history of mankind by some of his acts, sometimes heroic.

With icons like Laika, the dog astronaut, and Orange, the movie actor cat Breakfast at Tiffany's, this book shows us that for centuries we have shared experiences with animals, especially with dogs and cats, "whose help has been essential for the evolution of humanity and to be exactly where we are today".

In addition to dogs and cats, octopus, horses, killer whales, penguins and even marmots appear, all of them accompanied by the story that made them famous and which, as the author says in the prologue, "Many times they are tragic and unfair to animals, which are sometimes violently removed from their habitat, to carry out a task for which, at first, they were not prepared. Fortunately, not all stories are like that, since some became famous for their own natural personality, being and living free ".

For this reason, Dogs, cats and other superstars is not only a list of illustrated icons for all audiences, but also turns out to be "a tribute to each one of those beings who have saved lives, created art, wandered our cities and helped in important technological advances, without many times being aware of it".
