The hospital runs out of dressings to heal an injured person after falling in the Cova Tallada

23 September 2013 - 00: 05

What promised to be a Sunday at the end of summer on an excursion along the coast of Dénia became a complicated day for a woman who was injured in the Cova Tallada.

The woman, who was on a group outing, fell into the cave with the bad luck that was cut and she could not walk out on her own. After calling the 112, they were transferred to the scene of the accident by the Red Cross by sea, but they could not get it out. After some attempts, they called the 112 and sent a helicopter from the Provincial Fire Brigade to help in their rescue.

The woman was airlifted to the premises of the Fire and there an ambulance moved to Denia hospital to treat his wounds. But the surprises did not end: once the cure, there were enough dressing to cover the 13 points were needed to clean up the court.

Healing in the region remains in focus.

Domi, You've explained it very well. First of all, when the cure. I think some people took advantage of it in a cruel way. In the end, we will think we have a shitty hospital and the professionals who serve us well. Politicians should be more serious on this issue and not try to cash in on such a thing.
As you say, dressings come in many kinds and sizes. The same for the size of your wound, they had to make another type of bandage, etc ...
    Hopefully you're right.

  2. Domi says:

Clearly you speak to speak. I am a very responsible person what happened can also happen to you anywhere. I never imagined that something like this could happen and took years to walk down the mountain. I feel that you are so unsupportive that solidarity depends sometimes our life.

  3. Domi says:

I am the person rescued last Sunday near the carved cova.
1.- The accident did not occur inside the cave but in the mountains, about 100 meters of it. Water was no access, because he was not able to take a step and the boat could not get close to the shore rocks. Red Cross by Mar nobody saw so there was no rescue attempt by sea.
2.- In favor of the rescue team, I only have words of thanks for the impeccable work they carried out. This will always be the case, but when you experience it in the first person, it is when you really get to know how it works.
3.- The doctor who treated me in the emergency room also did an impeccable job, also my sincere thanks to her. The hiccup came when the dressing: there were no dressings on the size of the wound. I think it was a lack of experience of the person who made the bandage because this type of injury is much better to bandage with sterile gauze and bandage over it as is being done in the cures.
This is the reality of what happened, everything else is conjecture. This is not the work of any political party there are real things like this. A company is always a company, manage health or anything else. This is here and anywhere. If a private company manages a hospital needs better the higher benefits and how do you get that? for skimping on some things.
What do we have to do? Reveal against private health management.
I hope I have clarified some points that were not clear.

What a way to distort the news. Anything is called journalism. I also like to know the cost big bucks get women by air, by a simple cut in the foot. It happens that water is not discharged or anyone? And on top cheaper to mobilize a helicopter.

    • Domi says:

By water itself may be evacuated. It is the first thing evaluated but was ruled out as impossible.
Hopefully nobody is in a similar situation.

  5. Ramon says:

In the end, it seems that the hospital is horrible and it is not like that. Every time I went, I did not have a single problem. Now it is OK. Surely it will be the left or better, the psoe of Dénia that is trying to take profit at the expense of our health. And with our health does not play gentlemen

  6. Claus says:

If I need points (48 last year), I remove the bandages. I do not want them. The discussion is quite unnecessary. The hospital has other problems such as waiting time for operations not considered necessary (IT TAKE gall bladder surgery 7 months or longer and waiting several colicos that you immobilizan and diet kills you lack of energy)

  7. Carlos says:

It is to imagine and surely that I am not mistaken, that the so-called left of Dénia is behind all this' they err that err in that the hospital of Dénia …… ..

    • Elena. says:

Noise is mounted and relevance is given to a totally irrelevant fact, anecdotal (dressings were in the hospital and they do not depend on anyone's life), but does not take into account the speed with which the rescue or the fortune was made that cost evacuate irresponsible hiked to a dangerous place without being able ambulances, helicopter, personal, points, medicines, etc.

      • Jamarpe says:

Dear Elena, (the dear one goes with sarcasm) before making such a regrettable comment, you should find out what happened and I only wish you that in your life you do not have the "irresponsibility" of having an accident and that they have to intervene in a hospital , because the money of expense that you would cause. You consider that in your hypothetical case, you should be charged for the expense incurred.
Please, measure your words and reconsider before writing.

  8. Pedro says:

What a way to manipulate a news item, after cutting they ran out of dressings in the emergency room (which incidentally sews many people a day) and after talking to the supervisor on duty, more dressings were brought from other areas of the hospital (which is done daily as things are spent), and the person was treated normally…. but well said that sounds very alarming

    • Isabel P says:

Well, I do not seem acceptable that do not have enough dressings precisely in emergencies, since a hospital must have calculated how many you need in a month, or a week, even must be able to differentiate between a month of February without tourists a July-August etc, go month by month. You can understand that there is a first year even if a fault should be excess and not by defect (dressings do not expire), but not now. Not when the health in the Community is the most expensive in Spain, being privatized.

      • fanny says:

Every hospital has its organization and all its obligations, it is very nice when treating a patient if everything goes well. Every citizen of our country has rights that we are losing today in health, education, employment, etc.
Our rights when entering a hospital is that we attend in the best way possible and as quickly as possible, luckily this woman wasted time waiting were looking for a simple dressing, but who tells me not there may come a day when medication is completed more necessary or more urgent? that security can give you if you have neither control of a few simple dressings ?.

    • pepper says:

      It is very alarming!
      you work for the hospital?
      You will not inherit anything….

    • José Antonio says:

Hi I think it is not acceptable that at least Hospital and Emergency dressings run out to a local priest.

Hopefully this will not happen again.
It would be a real shame then. Then you have to make a complaint and speak out

    • Martyn Jones says:

People do not want to read consistent and reasonable explanation, and based on reality, only innuendo, indignation and tension are admitted.
