El Hospital de Dénia celebrates, next April 5 at 12:00, an Open Day for residents of Medicine, MIR and Nursing, EIR.
The objective is for future residents to learn first-hand about the transversal program that the Dénia Health Department (DSD) has prepared for them. Dénia's MIR and EIR plan offers global knowledge of the health environment, which includes both Primary Care and the different hospital specialties. Residents will also attend multidisciplinary clinical sessions, participate in clinical trials, research, and attend congresses related to each specialty.
The DSD offers this year 14 MIR and 5 EIR places. Doctors will be able to train in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Family and Community Medicine, and Anesthesia and Resuscitation. Regarding nursing positions, the specialties available are Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Family and Community Medicine.
The MIR and EIR training at the Dénia Health Department stands out for the high involvement of the tutors, the teaching methodology, ABP Problem-Based Analysis, the development of technical and surgical skills in specialties such as Gynecology and Anesthesiology, clinical ultrasound in Attention Primary, Internal Medicine and Critical Area or the practice of the difficult airway in Anesthesia.
The conference, which will take place in the Assembly Hall of the health center, will start with a welcome from the Managing Director of the DSD, Javier Palau; the Commissioner of the DSD, Juan Puig; the Assistance Director of the DSD, Pedro Clemente; the Director of Care, Natalia Casado, and the Head of Studies, Mª Carmen Estruch. Next, there will be a guided tour of the hospital and the candidates will have the opportunity to meet with the resident tutors of each specialty.
