Dénia Hospital awarded for its Global Hospital Management and finalist in the Women's Area

El Hospital de Dénia She has received the prestigious TOP 20 award in the category "Global Hospital Management" and has been a finalist in the "Women's Area". The awards, organized by the health information technology and clinical research company, IQVIA, were held early yesterday afternoon at the NH Collection Eurobuilding Hotel in the capital, as part of the celebration of its XX Annual Conference .

The event was attended by the Health Care Director of the Department of Health of Dénia -DSD-, Pedro Clemente, accompanied by the Chief of the Clinical Documentation Service, Patricia Marzal and the Supervisor of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service, Silvia Crespo.

Dr. Clemente was in charge of collecting the award, which he dedicated to all the professionals and patients of the Department of Health. In this sense, Clemente stressed "the importance of the distinction, since he places the Marina Alta on the national health map. It is the second time that the Dianense center has been awarded for its good practices in global management. In 2017, he received the same award for the first time.

A total of 145 hospitals and clinics have appeared at this edition, of which 69 have been nominated for one of the awards. The organizing firm has evaluated 35 specific care processes in the clinical areas of heart, respiratory, nervous system, digestive, skeletal muscle, kidney and urinary tract and women. In this last section, Dénia Hospital has been a finalist.

In addition to the care processes, the awards also dedicate a section to health management, where indicators related to quality, (complexity, complications, risk-adjusted mortality) productivity and efficiency are assessed.

TOP 20

The objective of the TOP 20 Hospitals Program is to identify patterns of good practice and recognize the work of those centers that have obtained the best results in the evaluation process.

The foundations of the TOP 20 Hospitals Program continue to be voluntary, anonymous and free participation, based exclusively on objective data from the hospitals that are presented.
