The Hospital de Dénia has received, for the second year, the prestigious TOP 20 Award in the category of 'Musculoskeletal Area'

El Hospital de Dénia has received, for the second year, the prestigious TOP 20 Award in the category of Musculoskeletal Area and has been a finalist in the category Global Hospital Management and in the Women's Area.

This year the awards, organized by the health information technology and clinical research company, IQVIA, have been won virtually.

In this edition a total of 151 hospitals have participated, from 14 autonomous communities and, in 10 of them, there have been nominated centers: Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia and Valencia. In total, 38 hospitals from 6 autonomous communities have been awarded.

In this edition for the Musculoskeletal Area, the consultancy has focused its analysis on the most prevalent processes such as: hip fracture, knee replacement, back surgery and hip replacement in patients with osteoarthritis.

According to Dr. Franco, Head of the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Service: "Our data are excellent for all four processes, especially for the hip replacement process in which we are in a benchmark position compared to other hospitals with similar characteristics."

For Dr. Franco, this award is a recognition of the daily effort of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, orderlies and assistants who work together every day so that patients are operated efficiently and safely.
