El Hospital de Dénia It will host on February 27 the First Conference on Addictions and Society, organized by the AEPA Foundation, in collaboration with Marina Salud, the Ministry of Health and the City of Dénia. The objective of the meeting is to give visibility to the problem of addictions, to de-stigmatize it and to offer information on the role of institutions in the diagnosis, treatment and reintegration of patients.
The institutions in charge of diagnosing and treating these addictions are the UCA -Addictive Behavior Unit- of the DSD and the UPCCA -Community Prevention Unit of Addictive Behavior-, dependent on the City Council. Some of the cases that require specific monitoring are referred to the AEPA Foundation, which has a day center in Dénia for the Marina Alta. In it, a multidisciplinary approach to addiction is carried out with the support of individual and group psychology and social reintegration workshops.
And in the meantime, what is done from the administration? Continue to give licenses to open more. I am outraged by that double standard.
