The Dénia Hospital thanks the artists of the Marina Alta for donating works for the health personnel

23 December 2020 - 14: 44

El Hospital de Dénia has received a selection of works by artists from the Marina Alta in appreciation of the dedication and effort of health professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative, coordinated by Montserrat Buitrago and the Hospital's art project, cuidArt, brings together a series of medium-format works, made on purpose with this theme to pay tribute to each and every one of the healthcare professionals.

Among the work, which has been distributed between the Hemodialysis Service and access to the cafeteria area for health personnel, are firms such as Rosa María Padilla, Joan Castejón, Monique Thomas, Anna Seguí, Mathieu Thomas and Juan Luis López, among many others. The pieces will remain permanently in the Dianense health center.

"Pandemic, we are all"

On the other hand, the cuidArt room of the hospital hosts the exhibition Pandemic, we are all, curated by the transdisciplinary art therapist, Alicia Costa.

The exhibition, which can be visited during these Christmas, is made up of fifty masks in whose elaboration the chronic patients of the hospital, those of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit and the professionals of the Department of Health of Dénia have participated.

A series of photos have been stamped on the masks, like frames, which form sequences with messages of hope, communication and hope in the face of the adversities that the pandemic is leaving us.

Part of that work has also been transferred to the Christmas tree that each year presides over the hospital hall. On this occasion, hundreds of silver butterflies have been dressed, also made by patients, professionals and residents of the region, to pay tribute to all those people who during 2020 have left us because of COVID-19.
