Javier Palacios and Álex Francés are the winners of the scholarship Grand Tour 2010 granted by DKV Seguros and the DKV Art and Health Chair of the Polytechnic University of Valencia with the aim of, in addition to combining and supporting these young artists, to promote development and creativity as a driving force for renewal.
This week the exhibition of his works was inaugurated in the CuidArt Room of the Hospital de Dénia, of artists who have traveled all over the world to enrich themselves and thus be able to shape their creativity.
Álex Francés brings to Dénia two series made thanks to the scholarship: New York Portraits, in which he portrays people who crossed his path while he lived in the Big Apple and The Believers, in which he reflects the amount of religious beliefs that exist in United States.
Javier Palacios, meanwhile, exposes the work done during his two-month stay in Poland, where he lived with students from the academy of Gdansk.
