The anthem of Port Rotes embraces María Carrió in her presentation as a major faller 2019

"Porta del port is you ..." that's how the anthem of the Port Rotes fails, who became the protagonist of María Carrió's presentation as a senior faller of the 2018 / 2019 exercise. The hymn sounded of each and every one of the possible forms: the original recording, played by the Youth Band of Dénia, sung a cappella by the father of the major faller and by the friends of the president, and instrumentally.

Paloma Ferrando served as presenter of the act, and the lyrics of the hymn gave way to what happened on stage.

The act was also a tribute to the creators of the anthem. On the one hand, the creator of the lyrics, Josep Maria Pasqual, and on the other, Pepe and Alba Crespo, who years later renewed and recorded the definitive version of the anthem of Port Rotes.

To welcome the president, his friends sang the melody of the hymn live, and after receiving the cane from his brother, Alberto Martí joined them.

Next, one of the fundamental parts of the commission, the falleras that compose it, was replaced. Two by two, they took their place on stage to receive the great protagonist of the night.

And again the anthem accompanied another magical moment. But this time, sounding in a special way. Rafa Carrió, father of Maria, sang the lyrics of the hymn to accompany the appearance of his daughter.

Alberto imposed the band on María, who received, in the first place, the love of Manolo Márquez, president 2018. His biggest faller, Amparo, current faller major of Dénia, said goodbye to the charge through an emotional video of gratitude to the failure that has seen him grow.

As is tradition in Port Rotes, the rest of failures of the city paid tribute to their positions. And after receiving that affection, María discovered that her sister Marta would be in charge of her exaltation. Marta, who is about to give birth to the little Vicent, thrilled the audience and Maria with the words of affection and pride that she dedicated to him, making him even get off his throne to shake his hand and embrace her.

After the exaltation, the rest of the celebrations followed, which ended with the biggest faller of Dénia 2019, Amparo Petrie.

Maria took the floor to close the ceremony and share with the attendees the pride she feels to be chosen this year to lead the failure this year. A year that is coming to an end with the arrival of the big days of failures.
