Culture returns this summer in Dénia, still with some adaptations in the offer derived from the pandemic situation, but betting on the recovery of the emblematic appointments of the months of July and August. Along these lines, Música en el Castell moves to the Torrecremada gardens to celebrate the 29th edition, after the suspension of the festival in 2020.
The program, which will take place from July 16 to 30, opts for artists and groups from the national territory, with two performances reserved for musicians from Valencia and from the region of La Marina Alta: The Soulomonics will star in the free concert on the 23rd to present in their land, Dénia, the new work "Stop the time"; the Valencian Jonatan Penalba will take to the Torrecremada stage the songs of Reversals, in the final performance, also free, of the cycle.

From August 5 to 26, the seventh edition of the Dénia Jazz Festival will take over in Torrecremada which, as explained by the festival director, the saxophonist Enric Peidro, has made a great organizational effort to be able to include international musicians in the poster, despite flight restrictions due to the pandemic.
A quality and very complete program, "which maintains the popular vocation and the desire to bring jazz closer to the general public", with a very affordable price of € 12 per concert, being on Thursdays in August, as usual.
The festival will open on August 5 Mediterranean Gypsy Jazz Reunion, a group created especially for the Deniera event by some of the most respected musicians of Valencian 'gypsy jazz': the violinist Eva Slongo, the guitarists Jorge Riera and Fabián Barrazza, the double bass César Cortés and drummer Carles Pérez.
On Thursday 12 it will be the turn of the whole of the USA The International Classic Jazz Ajo Stars, in which Peidro participates, together with the vocalist Rebecca Kilgore, who will visit Spain for the first time, and the rest of the musicians in the group.
French drummer Guillaume Nouax will perform with his trio on August 19 to fill New Orleans' swing and jazz gardens.
The festival closes Arturo Serra Quintet, the formation of the Valencian vibraphonist, who will present his new album "Tudo bem" in Dénia.
