The Dénia government team presents "realistic" budgets that decrease 5% compared to 2011

The Dénia government team presented yesterday what the 2012 budgets will be. The mayor of Dénia, Ana KringeHe called them "realistic in the face of the crisis and with the aim of promoting employment".

The 2012 budgets amount to 55.048.890'26 €, which means 4'96% less than those of 2011. The decrease of 2,8 million euros will be noted in the personnel, current expenditure and investments chapters.

Both the mayor and the mayor of the hacienda, Vicente Chelet, Affirmed that the item destined to social welfare will not be affected to the low, being increased or maintained as until now depending on the cases.

In addition, an initial start of 100.000 euros will be allocated to help the most disadvantaged groups to alleviate the tax increase expected this year. Once the budgets are approved, the local government will publish the bases that will regulate this aid.

The investment section will be cut and limited only to projects that receive subsidies from supramunicipal entities. 2012 accounts will be allocated a line of 2.842.592 euros for the actions planned in the Diana Bosc and the non-motorized platforms included in the DéniaFutur project.

This year, the city of Dénia plans to enter a total of 55.625.223'65 €, which will mean an initial surplus of 566.333'39 €, although Chelet has been sure that the final figure will be higher "even bending".

The government team predicts that next week will be called an extraordinary plenary for approval of the 2012 budget.
