The beach of Gandía was full of spectacle to welcome the "II Ican Gandia"A test that became a real journey"Ironman"And was attended by 600 triathletes.
Half of them took part in the category "Half"And the rest in the category"Full". In this representation there was Dianense because Victor Contri Tri-Esport of Ondara met the challenge of 3.900 meter swim, 180 Km., bicycle and 42 Km., foot race.
The first segment surprised the participants and the path measurement was lower than that after the triathletes had to cover. Swim distance exceeded Contri 4.000 meters out of the sea with a mark of 1: 19: 58.
After passing the transition zone recovered many positions in the cycling segment. The Dianense covered the distance with a time of 5: 43: 18. The great effort made in this segment took its toll on the last leg of the race.
Victor Contri was more or less and had to slacken its pace, this earned him lose some positions and entered goal with a partial 4: 57: 54, in the last segment.
He entered the finish line in the 158 position of the general classification and in the 48 position of the classification by age groups; 40-44, with a total time of 12: 09: 55.
Moisés Vidal was the winner of the race
The triathlete Moisés Vidal, from Clínica Gioia Triathlon, was the winner of the test with a time of 8: 56: 47. The second classified was Enrique Martínez, from Club Bikini Turia Triatló, with a 9 brand: 09: 06. The third place went to Vicent Ribera, from Mortes Bikes, with a 9 brand: 17: 50.
As for the women's overall, the winner was Belén María García, OCUS Race Club, with a record of 10: 53: 54. The second classified was Rosa Mansilla, the Club Tragaleguas, with a mark of 12: 16: 54. The third place was for independent, Laurence Pelay who made a mark 12: 22: 07.
