Congratulations to the Dénia Rugby Club that after winning the CR Albacete for 27 to 14, it has achieved the promotion to the 1ª Valencian Division. A reward more than deserved for the staff that has directed masterfully, Mariano Rouyet. A team that has been something more than that, an authentic family and that they have formed; Ricardo Ibáñez, Leonardo Rodríguez Pérez, Miguel Crespo, Alejandro Martínez Aguayo, Mathew Cook, David Landa Pérez, Lautaro Jerez, Felipe Rayces, Lok Kei Yuen, Joel Müller Ferrer, Antonio Villanueva Vaquero, Santiago Tent Antola, Marcos Rivera Rosario, Yovanny Raga Hernández , John Cabezas Rodriguez, Javier Moya Gans, José Ignacio Atencio Crespillo and Sergio Crespo Femenía.
First part of visitor control
The bleachers of the sports field recorded an absolute full, with a great atmosphere that infected the players on the pitch. With the nerves that an encounter of such importance generates in each of the players, the beginning was not the best for Dénia. Some fouls were committed that the visiting team knew how to transform into points, added 9, kicking the sticks. The scrum of the scrum was very even and each team could play the balls that were introduced in it.
However Albacete formed his lines better and the ball came out cleaner for his side which allowed them to attack more neatly the Dianense field.
The development of the open game was not as decisive as it had been throughout the season for Dénia, who knew how to win the advantage line on countless occasions throughout the tournament. The strong brand of both teams prevented individual escapes and thus the local in-goal did not receive any rehearsals in the first half.
On the contrary, the man from Albacete received "the visit" from Yovanni who gave the first five points to those from the capital of the Marina Alta. The two points of the transformation by John raised Dénia's income to seven. The first half closed with a 7-9 run.
