The Minister of Education, Research, Culture and Sports, Vicent Marzà, presented yesterday, the news and the main figures of the 2016-2017 course. The head of Education emphasized the work guidelines of the new school year summarized in a motto: "Public school, quality assurance: equality, innovation and involvement".
In this course it has been possible to lower the average number of students per classroom, which is located in an 22,7 for a course in which the number of students increases by 1% with 783.565 students of which 282.880 correspond to the province of Alicante.
It also highlights the increase of teachers in 2.800 teachers, with a total of 66.900 teachers and staff teachers. The Minister Marzà stressed that "in one year the 57% of teachers abolished by the cuts of the former Valencian government has been recovered".
In addition, the new course has 5.417 teachers who until last year had no final place and who have already obtained the current one, 1.706 in schools and 3.711 in institutes. In addition, 1.172 have won a place in opposition, and the Administration will work during these months on a staff order with the teaching unions to ensure better stability of teachers.
