The Generalitat Valenciana has chosen Dénia for the constitution of the first advisory committee of the GastroTurística Network of the Valencian Community - L'Exquisit Mediterrani.
It was this Wednesday morning, at the CDT facilities, where different social agents related to tourism in all its aspects have met. The meeting, chaired by the Autonomous Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, has been a forum for the participation of the different touristic, gastronomic and agri-food agents.
The GastroTurística CV-L'Exquisit Mediterrani Network is a territorial collaborative network that intends, from the collaboration between all the agents that make up the "value chain" of gastronomy, enhance and protect the excellence of the culinary culture of Mediterranean landscape, the quality of the pantry and the creativity of the haute cuisine of the Comunitat Valenciana.
Colomer has indicated that through this committee, formed by "The entire public, private and academic ecosystem that makes up the great Gastroturistic Network will work with values that seek excellence and convert the Valencian Community as a gastronomic tourist destination".
The Advisory Committee is made up of 44 entities representing the local tourism administration, universities and innovation centers, companies and professionals of the sector, food promotion and agri-food agents, primary sectors or entities with international projection.
At this constitution session, 23 specialists, experts and other professionals in the field of sommeliers, confectioners, wineries, hotel entrepreneurs, cooks, chefs, communicators and journalists have also been invited to expand the spectrum of representation and dissemination of the network.
This consultative forum, which will be convened semiannually, aims to provide its vision and advise, at the request of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, on the strategic and activity focus of the GastroTurística CV Network action plan and, in general, to collaborate in the protection of the value of our own gastronomy, the diffusion of its excellence and the best coordination of the impulse of gastronomic tourism in the Valencian Community.
