The conflictive schedule keeps the hoteliers and the Consell from an agreement for the de-escalation

February 24 from 2021 - 10: 00

Meetings continue to take place this week with different sectors to launch the de-escalation of the Generalitat's restrictions as soon as possible. Yesterday, it was again the turn of the hospitality industry to deal with the Government to know its plan that could start next week, How Dénia.com has been advancing in recent days. However, this time both parties walked away from an agreement after the discrepancies generated by certain points.

Everything indicates that the hotel business will reopen next Monday. Now, we need to know if It will be limited to the exteriors such as terraces or the activity within the premises can also be reprimanded. What also seems to be made official in the coming days, possibly this Thursday, is that the maximum number of diners per table will be limited to between 4 or 6, which could be an indication that restrictions on social gatherings will also be eased.

However, the hours in which they will be able to open has generated strong discrepancies between both parties. The Consell is committed to, in this first de-escalation phase, allowing the reopening until 17:00 p.m. or 18:00 p.m. However, the hoteliers demand that they be allowed to open until curfew, currently set at 22:00. That is, open wide to reach the new normal in the shortest possible time.

Currently, non-essential businesses are allowed to operate only until 18:00 p.m., so the demand of the hospitality industry would mean that their businesses had more flexible hours, something that other sectors would not welcome and that does not enter the Consell plan.

Be that as it may, it will not be known until the next few days what is left of this first phase of the Valencian de-escalation. Surely on Thursday, after the interdepartmental meeting, the president, Ximo Puig, announce that there will not be a new extension of the restrictions and what the new measures will be.

How pathetic to think that thousands of people are surviving because of the decisions of these irresponsible politicians who only know to shut down the companies of others. You can see that politicians have no idea what it is like to look for a job in real life or to be an entrepreneur or anything like that, they in their surreal life as a politician with their payroll secured and making decisions that ruin thousands and thousands of people without blinking. How pathetic and pitiful our system is. Hopefully the day will come when countries are managed with people capable of making decisions as technocrats and they will cease to exist politicians or remain as mere characters outside of technical decision-making that affect citizens.
