The center UNED Dénia deepen the properties of olive oil in a course

After the success obtained last summer with the course "Wine in the Marina Alta. Oenological culture and associated benefits", the UNED Dénia center has scheduled a course for the month of February to learn more about the properties and benefits of olive oil.

The "Course of tasting and culture of extra virgin olive oil" will be held from 23 to February 25 and is open to all types of audiences, both professionals and interested in knowing more about the world of liquid gold.

During these sessions will be announced production processes, preparation and assessment of Extra Virgin Olive Oil-AOVE through knowledge of different aspects of sensory analysis and specific vocabulary.

The course is run by Rafael Castejon Montijano, director of the Department of Applied Economics at the UNED, and has the support of experts like Germán Carrizo, Michelin Chef, Owner Gastronomic Tándem; Teresa Pedro Font, Specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition Hospital de Dénia; Hugo Quintanilla Ripoll, Manager Manors Relleu and Susana Romera Arias, founder of Columela Club Tasting, among others.

In addition to the theory to be conducted, during an excursion to the mill of Relleu Señoríos in the farmhouse the Teuladi, to publicize the Oleoturismo and oil tasting , It will include a lunch to celebrate the end of the course.

Those interested in signing up can do so at the UNED secretariat in Dénia, Monday through Friday from 9.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 21.00 hours. The students of the UNED will get credits of free configuration or ECTS.
