El Alicantino Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert has brought to Dénia the itinerant exhibition about José Estruch, maestro and stage director from Alicante, who can be seen at the Social Center until the next 8 in July.
The exhibition is divided into five thematic sections - Alicante; the exile, France and England; Uruguay; Return to Spain and The Footprint of Pepe Estruch - re-branded in photographs and texts, many of them by Estruch, who becomes the narrator of his own life.
Juana María Balsalobre, director of the Department of Art and Visual Communication of the IAC Juan Gil-Albert and Vene Herrero, actress and author of the book José Estruch: theater as an identity nexus, have been the curators of this exhibition, which aims to attract the attention of the viewer through visual and textual elements.
The exhibition was inaugurated at the Social Center of Dénia last Friday with the attendance at the ceremony of the director of the Juan Gil-Albert Institute, José Ferrándiz, the councilor for Culture of Dénia, Rafa Carrió and Juana María Balsalobre, curator of the exhibition.
