The work One size fits all, of the La Xara Occupational Center, has obtained one of the four accésit that were granted in the XXI edition of the Exhibition of Plastic Arts, Painting and Ceramics organized by the Diputación de Alicante and titled Expocreativa 2018.
This exhibition aims to promote the integration, insertion and social connection of people with intellectual disabilities in the province. In this edition, the jury highlighted the creativity, originality, composition and effort of each of the submitted works.
In total 62 has been work done by users of 31 specialized centers of the territory. The Provincial Council awarded nearly 30.000 euros artistic creativity of people with intellectual disabilities by awarding nine 2.500 euros each and four 1.250 euros, with one of them for the Occupational Center of La Xara.
The exhibition will remain on display until next Tuesday's 30 in October and, until then, visitors can reward with their vote the work they most liked through the so-called Award for Public Voting, equipped with 800 euros.
The awards ceremony will be held during the course of a grand gala that will take place at the 27 November in the Provincial Home facilities and are invited all associations and people with disabilities in the province.
