The Women's Center in Dénia attended 2013 194 to women victims of violence

The Ministry of Social Welfare has released the 2013 figures of the Centro Mujer Dénia, a center that offers comprehensive care to women who suffer abuse or any type of aggression through a team of professionals formed by a coordinator of the center, three workers social, three psychologists and one lawyer.

Last year a total of 194 women, 121 of them for physical and / or psychological abuse and 73 for sexual assault passed through the premises of this center. Of the 194 women, an 65,5% filed a complaint against their aggressor and an 43,8% has an Order of Protection. The average profile is of Spanish women between 31 and 40 with children under their care.

The Women's Center began operating in Dénia 2009 and now has a counseling service to the children of women victims of gender violence.

As for the Infodona Dénia Center, which assists municipalities in the region 33, it is attended by an agent who provides advice equality for women, women's groups and organizations from different areas.

This center, in operation since the 1998 year, attended last year a total of 466 consultations of women related to employment, equality actions and labor and legal advice.

These data were made public during the visit of the general director of Family and Women, Laura Chorro, to both centers. Chorro has been accompanied by the mayor Ana Kringe.
