The Dénia Women Center attended to 218 women, girls and adolescents victims of sexist violence in 2018

February 18 from 2019 - 12: 59

The Centro Mujer Dénia attended, during 2018, a total of 218 women, girls and adolescents victims of sexist violence. Of all of them, the most frequent problem has been physical and psychological abuse, followed by psychic abuse and sexual violence.

This was explained by the Vice President and Councilor for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Monica Oltra, when taking stock of the Women's Centers 24 Hours (CM24H) dependent on the Vice Presidency and Ministry of Equality and Inclusive Policies, which have served 2.395 women victims of violence of gender and sexism throughout 2018, of which 69 are underage girls and adolescents.

Of all of them, 1.529 filed complaints, that is, six out of ten of the 2.395 women and girls victims of sexist violence treated in the Women's Centers during the past year filed it. A fact that for Oltra "there are very few complaints".

The CM24H is a public and free resource specialized in the care of women who suffer physical, psychological, sexual aggression, sexual abuse and sexual harassment in the workplace. They are an institutional response that seeks to address this social problem in a comprehensive and continuous manner.

The Centro Mujer Dénia attends the Social Welfare offices (Plaza Archiduque Carlos) the 365 days of the year from the 8: 00 hours to the 22: 00 hours.
