The International Center for Buddhist Studies teaches "Learning to die"

The International Center for Buddhist Studies (CIDEB) of Pedreguer has scheduled a new full professional training course that will deal with the death of the next March 8.

Learning to Die It is the name of this formation about death, the process of dying and the accompaniment. It consists of four weekend theoretical-practical modules that will take place in the Pedreguer monastery during the months of March, May and June; and a retreat to integrate the teachings in the same place in the month of July.

The emotional approach to one's own death and the process of dying; The treatment of death and its spirituality in different cultures and the tools for accompaniment will be the central contents of this formation, whose final integration retreat will be addressed with mindfulness and meditation.

The objectives of this training are to train to accompany others in their last days, reveal vital priorities, strengthen themselves emotionally in the face of crises, value personal relationships and live each day with gratitude.

The recipients are health professionals, social service professionals and educators especially, but it is also aimed at people interested in personal development or in the accompaniment of the death process of family and friends.

The teachers are Lama Rinchen Gyaltsen, director of the CIDEB; Mar Cortina Selva, educational psychologist and doctor in Educational Sciences; Vicente Arráez, specialist in intensive care and Mar López, master's degree in mental health, human and social sciences, and president of the Living a Good Death Foundation.
