This year marks 25 years of the implementation of the Special Employment Center Aprosdeco, an industrial laundry that employs people with mental disabilities with the aim of integrating them into society.
From 1990 the Special Employment Center helps users of Aprosdeco to normalize their day to day, with a job in which each one has a responsibility to get ahead. That in the times that are running 25 years to help others, is cause for celebration, and they did so last weekend, with a party at the Occupational Center of La Xara.
From 10 morning, people who attended enjoyed the screening of a documentary on the work carried out there, and 11: 30 took place in the center courtyard a concert by the Youth Band, which featured pieces many users did rise from their chairs to dance.
The meal was given by the Comissió de Festes de la Mare de Deu, which collaborated with a giant fideuà for the attendees, who did not stop the intense heat that was made during the day. The day ended with the delivery to the monitors of a memory by the organization in appreciation of their daily work at the center.
