The public Center for Adult Education Almussafes has won the 18ª edition of the Prize Ciutat de Dénia for the Training of Adults in recognition of "The defense and promotion of a critical, active, popular and Valencian education and lifelong learning, from an educational, ethical and political dimension".
The jury of this edition has been composed Pepa Sivera, Councilor for Culture and Education of the City of Denia; Josep Aparicio Guadas, representing the faculty of Adult Education (FPA); Penalba Vicent Azorín, representing the students of the FPA; Vicent Mas Estela, director of FPA Dénia Center; María Mut Mezquida, Councilor for Human Resources of the Dénia City Council and Maribel Font, technician of the Culture Department of the Dénia City Council, acting as secretary.
The award ceremony will take place on Friday 5 in June, at 20 hours, in the Plenary Hall of the City of Dénia. The event will include a lecture by Mª José Chisvert Tarazona, professor at the University of Valencia, entitled "The accreditation of competences: relevance of learning outcomes".
