The Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat has sent the communiqués of the 2018 annual flood prevention campaign to the city councils of the Valencian Community and organisms dedicated to security and emergencies.
The objective of this campaign is to remember the procedures of action that public administrations must apply with responsibility in the matter before possible situations of intense rains.
Preparation of a Municipal Action Plan
In the aforementioned communiqué, it is recalled that municipalities with high and medium risk must prepare their Municipal Action Plan in case of flood risk. In this sense, the Security and Emergency Response Agency puts at your disposal a guide, included in the website, as well as technical personnel who can advise on its preparation.
On the other hand, next September 6, the Emergency Security and Response Agency and the Faculty of Geography of the Universitat de València will hold a Technical Conference on Flood Hazards, aimed at firefighters, municipal and emergency personnel.
