The Spanish Championship of Kite 2018 will be held in Dénia

After the pleasant experience recently experienced with the dispute over Kite Spain Cup, held at the Port Marina El Portet in Dénia, announces the dispute Spanish Kite Championship. The competition that will be attended by the best RIDERS from the national and international scene, since it is an open test, it will take place from the 7 to the 10 in June.

In the presentation of this national test, the director of Puerto Marina El Portet Dénia, Luis Mira, explained that, "As it was demonstrated in the Cup of Spain, we are in the best place to practice this sport. Dénia has the best conditions in the Mediterranean and all the riders want to come here".

For his part, Manuel Sanz, national secretary of the Formula Kite class, announced that, "they will be with us around 25 participants, more or less the same ones who were in the Spanish Cup. As it is a national test, two classification will be established, one absolute, where any riders can be Spanish or not and another one where the participants will be Spanish".

Sanz, meant that, "the dispute of the Spanish Cup served as an essay for this important event. Our balance at the organizational level was very positive, that is why we are going to vary very little compared to what happened in that competition".

Although it will depend on the intensity of the wind, Luis Mira commented that, "the intention is to set up the race courses as close as possible to the coast so that the public can see the tricks of the participants as much as possible".

In the facilities of Puerto Marina El Portet during the three days of competition are going to carry out parallel activities so that the public and especially the little ones have fun in a big way.

The local Alejandro Climent will try to win the title

Among the list of favorites must be the local, Alejandro Climent who does not want to miss the opportunity to convince the head of selectors of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, so he can be one of those summoned with the national team to attend Olympics.

For his part, the Dianense sports councilor, Vicent Crespo, he pointed, "In events of this kind the city council will always be present supporting an initiative that means a large mirror where the city can be seen. The presentation of the sports event concluded with the words of the mayor, Vicent Grimalt who pointed, "Making Dénia known to everyone through sports is very positive. We have something like the wind free of charge, which according to the technicians they tell us here, it blows better than in another place and therefore we have to take advantage of it". Grimalt added that "I wish the organization all the luck so that an important event such as a Spanish Championship comes out in the best possible way".
