The good weather conditions made the I Memorial Race "Diego Mena", held in Dénia, with a great success of participation and public. More than 300 rowers, in 29 teams, played this round of the 2013 Regional Autonomous Championship, scoring for the Autonomic League SUMA.
In the category of Male Veteran, the Club Rem DéniaChampion proclaimed the race with a time of 33: 48 minutes. In second place came the CN Oliva with 33: 49 and thirdly, Rowing Club Torrevieja, with 33: 54.
In Veteran female, the first to arrive were the CNA team members Costa Blanca, with a time of 39: 18 minutes, second RCN Torrevieja, with 39: 57 and third, Rowing Club Torrevieja, with 40: 42.
Absolute Female category, the Club of Rem Gandia, with a time of 37: 20 and CRU Alicante, with 37: 59 38 minutes, champs, followed by RCR Alicante, with 40 proclaimed.
The race, organized by BOGA club del Mar in collaboration with the marina Marina de DeniaIt was played in the privileged environment of the Marine Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio.
The crowd of people that approached the Marina de Dénia, could enjoy a great show. "It was very exciting to see the number of athletes who have participated in this race so special to the people of Dénia, since it is dedicated to the beloved Diego Mena," said Gabriel Martínez, director of Marina de Dénia.
