The municipality Iberdrola sanctions for not complying with the ordinance urban cleaning

February 08 from 2013 - 00: 00

The Department of Environment of the city of Dénia has opened the second file in a month to the company Iberdrola for not complying with the urban cleaning ordinance.

It all started when the consistory opened a first file for leaving on the public road the remains of the felling of some pines that touched the electrical wiring in the area of La Pedrera. Although Iberdrola has authorization to cut these specimens, it is also obliged to remove the remains. The company is waiting to know the penalty, which will oscillate between the 3.000 and the 30.000 euros and will be announced when the first file is resolved.

Iberdrola proceeded to crush the remains, but it has caused a significant accumulation of splinters in the ditches of the street, susceptible to being swept away by the wind and plugging the drainage of these ditches, favoring the occurrence of damages in case of rains and increasing the fire risk in the area, which is why the Department of the Environment, which directs Juan Carlos Signes, has opened a second file to company.
