The City of Dénia has prepared the call and the basis for the award of two scholarships to study the Master's degree in rice and Mediterranean cuisine of the University of Alicante during the academic year 2019 / 2020. The bases have been approved last week by the Governing Board and in the coming days will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante. The awarding of each of the scholarships will be 4.000 euros and will be awarded to a candidate of junior category, of equal or less than 35 years and with 2 years of accredited work experience in the field of catering, hospitality and / or gastronomy, and another senior, older than 35 years and with a minimum of 5 years of accredited work experience.
People with a degree in hospitality or gastronomy, chefs with training in cooking who have level 2 or higher professional certificates, students who have completed intermediate or higher vocational training cycles in cooking and chefs with a wide range of professional experience with concerns to renew and acquire new knowledge. It is an essential requirement to be a beneficiary to be registered in a municipality of the Marina Alta, for at least 1 year from the publication of the extract of the call, and not be enjoying another scholarship or aid of the same category or analogous purpose. The period of enjoyment of the scholarship will be from October 2019 to June 2020.
The deadline to submit applications will be 15 calendar days from the day following the date of publication of the abstract of the call in the BOP of Alicante.
The applications will be presented in writing in the Office of Citizen Attention (OAC) of the Dénia Town Hall or telematically in the Electronic Headquarters-OAC Virtual. The forms for the application of the scholarship will be available both in the OAC and in the Electronic Headquarters of the Ajuntament de Dénia.
The selection of candidates will be made by a Selection Committee appointed by the rector of the University of Alicante.
