After the success obtained in the first edition, held this year, the council of the Mayor of the City of Dénia has convened the second edition of the Photo Contest Senior Citizens 2019. For this occasion the theme is "Our sea and Fishing", and as a novelty this year the participation is extended to all the retired people living in Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre.

The objective of this contest, as explained by the mayor's councilor, Elisabet Cardona, is "Let our elders tell us in photographs different visions of the world of fishing in our city".

Those interested in participating can register in the office of the Classrooms of the Third Age (Social Center of Dénia) of the 7 from January to 5 of April of 2019.

The photographs must be their own, original and unpublished, and have not been submitted in other competitions or be subject to rights that support third parties. The technique will be free, and they can be in both color and black and white. The photographs will be presented on photographic paper, free size and mounted on pen cardboard 40x50 centimeters.

The jury, which will make up City Council technicians and professionals in the field, will announce its ruling on Friday, 12 April 2019, in an act to be held in the leisure room of the Social Center, where prizes will be delivered and will inaugurate the exhibition of photographs.

The first prize, sponsored by Carrefour, will be 150 euros and a diploma. The second prize, sponsored by Radio Dénia, will be 100 euros and a diploma. The third prize will be sponsored by the City of Dénia and will consist of free annual registration for two workshops of the Classrooms of the Third Age 2019 / 2020, valued at 60 euros, and a diploma.
