The full City Council Dénia to be held later this month will authorize the installation of tables and chairs in the Drassanes square nearest the street Pilota, which is municipally owned and where so far not allowed. This authorization will be made through the amendment of the municipal ordinance regulating the use of public spaces and includes other developments.
Specifically, the tabs in the Mariana Pineda square, small square of La Creu, placeta de Sant Antoni, Les Drassanes square and the Plaza del Convento be changed. In the latter changes relate to reduce 1,5 meters space that must exist between the facade of the establishments and tables and chairs to take to the streets, as it has been shown that not much space is needed because passersby do not use this step but the central portion of the plaza.
In the small square of the Creu, the requirement that the tables and chairs are placed are brought closer to the wall of the establishment, leaving unobstructed passage of pedestrians through the center will be established.
Mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Vicent Grimalt, It announced that the intention of the government team is to undertake the general amendment of the Ordinance occupation of public roads and that these changes are provisional seeking an adjustment ahead of the summer season.
